Luke 23

NET

11 Even Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Then, dressing him in elegant clothes, Herod sent him back to Pilate.

Darby

11 And Herod with his troops having set him at nought and mocked him, having put a splendid robe upon him, sent him backD7422 to Pilate.

Darby Bible Notes

back - Remitted is the technical word for sending to one's proper jurisdiction. So, ver. 11, 'sent back' alludes probably to jurisdiction, as they were in strife about it.

KJV

11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked [him], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
