15 When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolationD6911, which is spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in [what is a] holy placeD6912, (he that reads let him understandD6913,)
desolation - See Note, Mark 13.14. place - 'Holy place' is without an article and characteristic. The Greek does not designate some particular place. I have inserted 'what is a' to generalize it. understand - Or 'consider [it].' see Note, Mark 13.14.
