3 Realize that the Lord shows the godly special favor; the Lord responds when I cry out to him.
3 But know that Jehovah hath set apart the piousD3179 [man] for himself: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.
pious - Chasid, an adjective used of man and of God; it is translated 'holy,' 'pious,' 'saint,' 'gracious.' Chesed is the noun meaning 'piety' and recognition of God on man's part, and of 'grace' and 'loving-kindness' on God's part. see 2 Chron. 6.42.
