13 You also say, ‘How tiresome it is.’ You turn up your nose at it,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “and instead bring what is stolen, lame, or sick. You bring these things for an offering! Should I accept this from you?” asks the Lord.
13 And ye say, Behold, what a weariness! And ye have puffed at it, saith Jehovah of hosts, and ye bring [that which was] tornD6591, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye bring the oblation: should I acceptD6592 this of your hand? saith Jehovah.
torn - Or 'violently taken away.' accept - Or 'be pleased with,' as ver. 8.
13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness [is it]! and ye have snuffed at itK6530, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought [that which was] torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
ye have snuffed at it: Or, whereas you might have blown it away.
