15 When the Israelites cried out for help to the Lord, he raised up a deliverer for them. His name was Ehud son of Gera the Benjaminite, a left-handed man. The Israelites sent him to King Eglon of Moab with their tribute payment.
15 And the children of Israel cried to Jehovah, and Jehovah raised them up a saviour, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjaminite, a man left-handedD1593. And by himD1594 the children of Israel sent a gift to Eglon king of Moab.
left-handed - Lit. 'bound as to his right hand,' also ch. 20.16. him - Lit. 'by his hand.'
