36 The Lord will judge his people, and will change his plans concerning his servants; when he sees that their power has disappeared, and that no one is left, whether confined or set free.

of - Or 'shall have compassion upon.' power - Lit. 'hand.' left - Or 'at liberty.' The phrase seems to be a proverbial expression, in itself a paronomasia, to express forcibly 'the totality.' cf. 1 Kings 14.10; 2 Kings 14.26.
