hades - 'in' (eis) hades. see Note, Matt. 11.23. gracious - Or 'holy,' hosios. It corresponds to the Hebrew chasid = merciful, gracious. see Note, ch. 13.34,35; 2 Chron. 6.42; and Heb. 7.26.
