6 Because of this I remind you to rekindle God’s gift that you possess through the laying on of my hands.
6 For which cause I put thee in mind to rekindleD8898 the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
rekindle - 'To revive, rekindle, what is drooping.' see Gen. 45.27. The whole subject of the epistle is energy in the darkening state of the assembly.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
