9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” God is not concerned here about oxen, is he?

Darby

9 ForD8277 in the law of Moses it is writtenD8278, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that is treading out corn. Is God occupied about the oxen,

Darby Bible Notes

For - These two 'fors' are an example of the rapidity of the apostle's style. To make the sense hang together, we should have to add, in the first case, 'not as a man merely,' or, 'surely it does.' 'For in the law of Moses,' &c.; and, in the second, 'not about the oxen, for for our sakes,' &c. written - See Deut. 25.4.

KJV
