21 For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.
21 BecauseD7972, knowing God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but fell into folly in their thoughtsD7973, and their heart without understanding was darkened:
Because - This is the second reason. the first is ver. 19. thoughts - The 'inward reasonings of the mind,' as Luke 9.46. The word 'thoughts' in English conveys this best.
