demonstration - Elenko. 'convince' supposes effect in the person convinced; 'convict' would not do for righteousness or judgment. I have said 'bring demonstration,' though it suggests perhaps too much the action of the Spirit when come; but his presence and all that he does affords this demonstration. see ch. 3.20.
