14 He cuts down cedars and acquires a cypress or an oak. He gets trees from the forest; he plants a cedar and the rain makes it grow.

terebinth - Or 'oak.' himself - Lit. 'and he maketh [it] strong for himself.' see Ps. 80.17. Others explain it in the sense of allowing the tree to grow to its full size and strength. pine - Or 'mountain-ash.'
