32 That very day Gideon’s father named him Jerub Baal, because he had said, “Let Baal fight with him, for it was his altar that was pulled down.”
32 And on that day they called him JerubbaalD1628, saying, Let Baal plead withD1629 him, because he has broken down his altar.
Jerubbaal - Meaning, 'Let Baal plead, or contend.' with - Or 'contend against.'
32 Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.
