4 But I thought, “I have worked in vain; I have expended my energy for absolutely nothing.” But the Lord will vindicate me; my God will reward me.

laboured - The Hebrew word implies exhausting labour. nought - As ch. 40.17,23. judgment - Or 'right.' work - Or 'wages.'
4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: [yet] surely my judgment [is] with the LORD, and my workK4938with my God.
