33 Look, the Sovereign Lord of Heaven’s Armies is ready to cut off the branches with terrifying power. The tallest trees will be cut down, the loftiest ones will be brought low.
33 Behold the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, shall lop the boughsD4693 with violenceD4694; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be brought low;
boughs - Great or high branches, making the beauty of a tree. violence - Lit. 'terror.'
33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature [shall be] hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
