18 He said, “What pledge should I give you?” She replied, “Your seal, your cord, and the staff that’s in your hand.” So he gave them to her, then slept with her, and she became pregnant by him.
18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy laceD323, and thy staff which is in thy hand. And he gave [it] her, and went in to her; and she conceived by him.
lace - Or chain by which the signet hung from the neck. so ver. 25.
