22 You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,
22 [namely] your having put off according to the former conversationD8635 the old man which corrupts itselfD8636 according to the deceitful lusts;
conversation - i.e. manner of life. itself - Or 'goes on in corruption.' The Greek word is used for 'destroy' in 1Cor. 3.17. The two thoughts combine here.
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
