16 From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament. As each one does its part, the body builds itself up in love.
16 from whom the whole body, fitted together, and connected by every joint of supplyD8632, according to [the] working in [its] measure of each one part, works for itself the increase of the body to its self-building up in love.
supply - The word 'supply' in Greek has the emphatic article and it might read 'that supply, [which is] according to.' The article denotes a known supply from Christ. sufficiently known to be referred to, to which also the 'from whom' lends force.
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
